BTW, traveling to GL Thursday for my sailor's PIR Friday (12/3/10) - pray for good weather, no major delays, and my peace of mind - I haven't flown since I was 2 years old! :/

Ok I'm back safe and sound. I saw the snow! The roads were clear (hwy 88), no ice as It was sunny and 45 degrees in Pioneer, just water on the road from the snow melting.

Congrats to your sailor Alaina, according to my sailor "Undesignated" is a bad thing, lol. Bottom of the totem pole and all that. So glad your Bob has a rate now. So he works on Navy planes, Way Cool! He keeps our "Top Guns" flying!!!!

No snow here in Sutter Creek but there is up the hill in Pioneer where my church building is.
Susan, you are so brave to do all that driving in the snow. Our Pastor canceled Sunday School last two Sundays because of snow. He still had 11 am service but I didn't go. I'm going to Bible study this afternoon but getting a ride with a friend. I hate driving in the snow.

Hi Jody: Could have been. It got very tough only in that I do so very much research on the internet. The drive on Sunday to Sierra City was absolutely amazingly beautiful. It did not get above 26, and the snow was still on all the trees (all the ice on the roads too). Dan drove the new car. The tires aren't mud and snow -and it was good that he was driving. While I'm a good driver ice and I are not what I would call good friends. Respectful. I have my 'yax-trax' coming they are tire chains for your shoes. Check them out if you get the chance. They come highly recommended. Because this winter is going to be so COLD Dan has decided to put studded tires on the car. This job is amazing. I am learning so very much. On another note, I'd not recommend working seven days a week at two part time jobs. While I am pretty organized it takes a toll.
Our sailor and his family are doing well. They are looking at the possibility of adopting a 'retired service dog'. Check them out if you have the chance. I hope that they can, because it would be an awesome full circule for these amazing dogs.
Brianna will be three next month. Can you believe it. She has her next surgery when she is eight. Adam was very pleased that he passed the exam. Said that he felt that he could have done it a lot better had he been on a boat. Guess, God answered his prayers and he did just fine.
Ok, got to get to work. Owen spent the night and we have to get him to school. Take care, ~S~
