Rachael.....Ouch!!! Why were you trying to catch a crochet hook? Hope you heal quickly. Keep us posted on your progress.
One of the important realities that came to me during the vacaiton is that the spouces of our service folks sometimes think that they are carrying the load all by them selves - and they forget that we as parent's are here for them. Sadly, they take on a distincing and controlling manner that makes it difficult to help. Please keep praying for all of them. We are all part of this service when one of our children commits to this country - - .
It was a very special blessing to be able to take our 13 yr old g-son to visit his God-father and cousins. He is AMAZING.
Hey There: we are home!
Fleur - I too extend to you a {{N4M}} hug until I can see you in person. Please, this is the place for you - we are here for one another. Please let us be a blessing to you that other's have been for us.
I wanted all of you to know about an event happening in Nevada City. Just in case you have heard, here are the details that I am aware of, this is from my blue star mom's president:
Fleur.....You just keep writing about how you feel here. No one here will judge you. For a fact we have all been there, and understand your feelings. Here's a big Navy {{{Hug}}}. Please know that you are not lossing your mind. You are experiencing the feelings of a Navy Mom.
HI all,
So my son is leaving on the 27th which happens to be on the anniversary of my daddys death - who was also a navy man...I am not sure how exactly I am going to cope w/ this. Its getting to me very much and find myself crying at the dumbest moments. I know you all have been thru it in some form or other so it just helps me to know that you guys are out there. Thank you.
Hi sll - sorry that I've been away - just a lot of work these days. We went to Washington (state) to visit with our sailor and his family. He had to work the entire time (duty two of the days we were there). Not much time with him, but we accomplished a lot thanks to Danny. A lot of mechanical work which made the DIL less stressed, and happy. I had the responsibility of the grands (including meals). So, we even got in a tea party. One of the great blessings was that we could take our 13yr old grandson with us. He was AMAZING. Played with Miss Brianna (who is five) and was just beyond words. Made the trip wonderful. I continue to hold all of your sailor's in my prayers.
Vicky...That is great that you and your mom may come to the Pillowcase day! Looking forward to it!
I penciled it in, I invited my Mom to come too. She is a better sewer then I am.
