OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I check in almost every night and even though I don't always post, I appreciate reading about your sailor (Vickyrun, Rvogt, Noe, Monica, Ginger, Sharon E, Tee, Susan, Katherine, Peg, Marsha, Nancy, Trekkie Dad, Naomi, Janis, Jody & Christine)

I want to share with everyone my recent experience with subterraean termites which should be treated because they cause the most damage. Six years ago, I had an inspection and paid $1500 for treatment. Two years later, I got an updated report. The firm recommended treating again at a cost of $1600. A year later, I ask for a competing bid from a second termite company - estimate $1800. Keep in mind, I haven't done anything about these critters since six years ago because I just don't like chemical spraying around the house. Tuesday, I got an estimate for under $1000. Hope you find this info useful. So there you have it. DRYWOOD TERMITES? That is long story.

My California boy doesn't like the weather in Washington. And he used to complain about our Sacramento summers - lol! When is he going?

my sailor just left yesterday...but not off to fight...hes going back home. he was on TAD here for 3 months but has to go back to Va. I almost wish he was on deployment instead. Then I would just be missing him for 6 months while he did his job....i wish we were able to live in the same state.
