My dad was honored and laid to rest today with a military funeral  at the Brig Gen W, Doyle Veterans Cemetery in New Jersey.  Jonathan had a very hard time and I was so pleased to be with him. My dad was the inspriation to join the Navy and my dad was so proud of him.  He looked so handsome in his dress blues.   Just like Steel Magnolias we had some funny moments I will have to share with you at our next M & G

Well, Chrissy dropped off teenage Marsha yesterday in the parking lot and didn't come upstairs, so I didn't get another hug, the little brat. Well, Marsha said she had to go back to Sac to pick up Aidan, she is taking him back to VA today. She gets him for five weeks. She posted on FB that she is worried about the storms and tornado warnings. Norlfolk posted a warning. Well, I hope they get there ok, today. She said she will be home for Christmas, then maybe Spain. Not sure yet about Spain.

Sorry to read this. I can't on the 15th, because I'm leading the retreat at North San Juan. I hope that this one works for others.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss L227.  Your family will be in my thoughts this week.

Since Alaina can't make the M&G, are we still having it this weekend??

LZ27, I too am sorry for your loss. {{{ N4M }}} hugs to you till I can see you in person to give you a hug. Hard way to have time with your sailor, but how wonderful that he can be there. Please take pictures. I know it must sound awful, but it is a good opportunity. I'll be praying for you, and your family. What a wonderful family tradition. Thank you and all of your faimly for their service. I recently did a graveside for a hero of WWII, and I have one who is having a bit of a hard time. We were chatting, and I thanked him, and he said; "Susan, I'm no hero, we left those there. I was just doing my job, and I came home." They were all amazing. Take care my friend.

LZ27, I'm so sorry for your loss.  Prayers for peace and strength to you and your family.  My dad was a WWII veteran too.  We are grateful for your Dad's service to this great nation.

Sorry I will not be able to see all of you at my favorite M & G spot.  I am heading back east in the morning.  My dad suddenly passed away early this morning.  I am going to meet my sailor son in Phoenix to fly back.  He wanted to know if is was ok with me to have him  wear his dress blues to the funeral.  Oh yeah, my dad would be honored as he too is a Navy man in the Seabees.  My dad will have a military funeral on Friday, Think of us, another WWII vet joins the ranks.  I will be with you in spirit on Sat,
