Janis - I know how you feel!!!! My son was deployed two months ago, but we do hear from him every week.
Where is your daughter being deployed? It's not easy but whats nice is that we have these sites with other families going through the same thing.

God Bless

Happy New Year!
My daughter was home for 12 days and it was wonderful. I took lots of pictures and have loving/wonderful memories to get me thru this next stage of the Navy life. She means the world to me and I support her 100%. God, Family and Friends are my support and I treasure everyone of them. I pray that God protects her, give her strength and has His arms around her.

She leaves for her first deployment tomorrow. Please put her in your prayers.

Have a wonderful New Year's Day

Happy New Year Everyone! Been having a wonderful visit with my son home for the holidays. He leaves Saturday morning back to Great Lakes, pack his gear and heading to San Diego and the USS Nimitz. His first deployment!
Had the lovely pleasure of meeting Heidi in Nor Cal, her husband, and one of her girls. She brought a scrapbook of her son, we had a great time! Well blessings to you and yours, may 2010 be a good one for all.

It was so nice to hear that everyone enjoyed their sailor's over the holidays, I was so envious of you all ..... My special Sailor called me two days after Christmas !!! What a gift for a mom ( really for anyone ) It's funny what a few words can do for a person " Hi mom, I love you too "
Please I still need ideas for sending packages to him...
Noe-where did you find that salsa ? what web site ? That's one thing he did ask for other then chips in a can. Thank goodness for the $ Tree !!!!! I was able to find them there.
