Looks like we will be marching in the Constution Day Parade with the Blue Star Mom's then if everyone is up to it, we can go over to Pioneer Park for the Civil War reinactments. We will gather at my house first. Remember to come the 'back way'. It is posted on the event tab. The cleaning angel is on duty today-but she can't do the windows - so there is your warning! See you on Sunday. Travel blessings to all especially Vicky who is coming from Sutter Creek ~Susan

Again, thanks Alaina for coordinating our meet & greet. I'm still new to the group and adjusting to life with my son in his third week of boot camp. It was wonderful meeting everyone last night, and lots of fun. I look forward to future conversations and activities! As difficult as the start of boot camp has been, this group and each of you has made that transition SOOO much easier...thank you!!! And, thanks Ginger for the info...I'll be sure to get the DVR set to record the series.

Vernita,
You are sooo kind. My sons called me Ace Helicopter Mom. Husband - Micromanaging Fluffy Buns. Friends - Compulsive, Obsessive Perfectionist. Vendors (who are working on projects for me) - Bossy Bea (behind my back), Honey Bea (to my face).
LOL. I am really looking forward to the 20th - my very first meet and greet. My husband found this site for me back in Feb 09 - boy is he sorry. You will meet him on the 20th and Oct 25. You will all like him. Most people like him more than they like me. He is easy going (except in court). He is smarter than I am. He is funnier and damn, he is thinner.

WELCOME CINDY! Our sailor is a Nuke also. He has been in six years, stationed at Bangor, WA. We are all new in many ways. When you have questions, ask away. This is an AWESOME place to be!~Susan

I'll be thinking of everyone tonight and on Sunday. Please take some photos and post. Resize to email resolution - no more than 640x480 pixel. Barbara, any pics of Sept 5 at Warming Hut? Spoke to a friends from FL this week. She is impressed and somewhat jealous that we have so many events just for Sept and Oct.
Ginger - didn't find out about the phone cards - only had a 45 second call w son - they were on the move again.
Susan, hope you feel better.
Alice Valle-R is looking for East Bay residents for meet and greet. Keep an eye out for wayward N4Ms who don't belong to our Nor Cal group - invite them to join!
Me? Getting house ready for Oct 25 - well, maybe - gotta leave some projects for retirement, right?
Lastly, big welcome to all new members.
Regards, Bea.

Hi Everybody: WE ARE ON for this Sunday!
Here is a note from Kathy - if we want to join in we are most welcome. Thank you Kathy for asking for us. Here is the scoop:

At 12:53pm on September 9, 2009, Kathy Atkinson said…Susan,
Any N4M's can march with the Blue Star Mother's at the Constitution Day parade. Have them meet at the top of Broad street, entry 21 at 1:30. Wear a patriotic shirt, hat, sun screen, bring water, walking shoes. We will carry photos or banners of our kids. (I checked this out with our president). Check out the photo on my page of our group at a similar parade.
