We are off today for the annual family reunion at Topaz Lake (395 south of Gardnerville).
The status of the M&G at our house is the same (four deffinates; two can'ts). If it stays this way, we will cancell.

While we are waitingng to hear as far as how much advance notice to give to Commander Nafarrete; I'd like to encourage everyone to check out Nevada City on the internet. It is a nice little city with a very rich history. We are only a little over an hour from Sacramento. I would really like for the event to actually happen. However, truly feel for all of our benefit that we need to have at least ten (eight is the recommended number). I have waited to purchase a gift for the Commander until I know if we are a go or not. I do have a couple of suggestions, and will act on them on Wednesday if we are a go.

For those traveling over the long weekend - be safe and have fun. My angel blessings to each of you ~s

My husband will be coming with me (he's my ride) to the Spaghetti Factory and I'll definately wear my pink "Navy Mom" tee shirt.

I plan on coming for 19th or 20th but PLEASE pick a place convenient for YOU. If I can google the address, I can find it. If I didn't have others social things scheduled already, we would be driving to Nevada City for Sept 13. Back in the old days, I would drive to Sacramento and back at night in one day. My eye sight is not as good as it was 5 -10 years ago. I only drive at night within the Peninsula. I would love to meet as many in the group as possible.
For those who are planning to attend any of the events, please RSVP - as soon as possible and right now for the Sept 5.

I go all over the place. I was at Half Moon Bay yesterday. On Sunday we went to San Jose, off Alum Rock. I think something like Chevy's, Chili's with parking would be good or ????
For your convenience, click HERE for link the Chevy's in CA.
Click HERE for link to Chili's.
Where else? Good parking, not too expensive, decent food.
Remember 280 and 101 very busy going south from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Saratoga Avenue EXTREMELY busy.
As for OCT 25, will ask for help when we get closer. Thanks for offers. Got to run and work. Will be back this afternoon.

Susan,
I will email Commander Nafarrete and let you know tomorrow how busy he is. This is a guy who carries two Blackberries - just so he can get all his calls. But I want you to know that he considers N4Ms a wonderful organization with great people. I was really touched that he was more than willing to drive anywhere to talk to the parents and recruits.

Bea:
Should we cancel the M&G at my house? There are only four saying yes - I'm happy to wait until next Tuesday - I am just concerned about the Commander's schedule and letting him know timely. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Susan
