We have a little 'opportunity' for the 13th. Our city puts on a Constution Day Parade. The Blue Star Mom's are walking in the parade. I'm wondering if those coming on the 13th would like to walk down to the parade and watch it as part of our meet and greet. We can have lunch before - then come back to the back yard and eat again and share. Karen is a Blue Star mom and she will be walking in the parade. The parade start's at 2. I am planning on joining Blue Star Mom's as soon as I am working again. Think about it - and we can decide that day. Send me a pm if you want directions to come in the 'back way' becasue what I gave you was via the 'main road' where the parade will be. It is easy truly - and we will have plenty of markers out rw&b ballons.~s

Our Nuke is now at Bremerton, and very happy. They all made it home safe and sound.
Things are quiting down here, especially since they left and school started. I'm still reorganizing the house and deep cleaning. Will be glad when I have it the way that I want it.
No job interviews yet - the Union is in Binding Arbritration with the Court. I'm not sure what that all means or will entail - but hopefully full reinstatement or a settlement. Thank you for all of your prayers~s

Hello all,

I just joined the group and would look forward to being part of activity in Sacramento, I'm in the South Sac/Elk Grove area.

My son's got just a few more days before he heads to MEPS on Monday and then to BC on Tuesday. It will be great to have others to talk with and share stories with, and to ask questions since my son's usually not too worried about details and keeping us informed. Oh well, I guess that's part of the growing that we'll all be doing in the monhts ahead.

Barbara,
On Aug 16, you emailed me "I'm so technologically challenged. How do I find the "San Francisco Moms" or the Northern California Navy Moms Group? Sorry for sounding so silly!"
On Aug 20, you are posting EVENTS. You are well on your way to becoming a N4M addict. Welcome to the club.

Teri, thank for the heads up on Fleet Week. I find the links to this event and post on N4M EVENTS as a reminder.

Everybody, how about Oct 17/18 or Oct 24/25 for our Santa Clara County get together. Please comment back with preference or pm me thru my page. The last time someone asked, it seems that Sun lunch was running strong. I am OK with anything. Whatever the majority wants.

Hi Everybody: I am off this morning to invite the recruiter in our area (Grass Valley) - can someone do Auburn, Roseville and maybe Sac? Yes, Dad's, siblings and spouses are invited as far as I am concerned. The more the greater sharring and support. Thank you all for being willing to come up to my neck of the woods.
The family visit was wonderful. I've applied for the six jobs advertised in the local paper - nothing yet. After Labor Day, I'll hit the job market hard. We have heard that the Union is taking the court to arbritration. So, maybe I will be reinstated?! That would be nice. Thank you for all of your prayers - more later. My angel blessings~s
