Hey Jody! YIPEE. Awesome news. {:-}. Are you still up to hosting us with all this coming? If not, you are all welcome here - you would have to come to Nevada City. But, we have a great back yard, and I would love to have you all here. I don't want to step on your toes - jsut offer an option.
Wow, I have missed quite a bit in a month - I've beeen pretty busy. Welcome to those newbees. I hope to see all those that can make it on the 28th.
Wow, Jody I am so happy for your my heart is singing for your news. ~s

Good News.....Our LT got his written orders to return stateside!!

We can tell the difference in his mood. He is joking once again. Its been a long time since we have heard his sense of humor.

Now the push is on. He returns stateside, has to sell his house and move cross country within 45 days. The days will be busy for all. My husband and I plan to go out and give a hand. My husband will drive one of the vehicles and I will bring the granddaughters (ages 4 and 18 months) back on the plane with me. I will have the girls for about a week on my own while the other adults drive. Its been a while since I have had little ones all to myself. Thank god I have lots of family to help me keep these very active little girls busy!

It is exciting time ssince our son will now be stationed on the same coast as we are for the first time in 12 years.

This means I can hop on a flight and go for a weekend visit, verses having to fly cross country.

Needless to say my husband and I where just giddy the day we got the news he had his orders.

Our son is on his third deployment. The first two where to Iraq, We had much better communications when he was in Iraq than he has had in Afghanistan.

Well now we will be able to call whenever we want!!! He may have been in the Navy 12 years, but he is still our boy and we miss him.

He now will be stationed on a ship for the first time in his career, so we will have new hurdles to over come, but we will adapt.

Far winds and following seas

WOW! WELCOME to all the new folks. This is VERY exciting to see you here. Sorry, I have been too busy to catch up with myself. We are working in the yard today. Paula thank you for your VERY generous offer - while I had thought that we would be able to make it, house stuff has gained our attention.
We are hosting Owen's little league end of the season party here, and well - you can take it from there. When Dan is ready to work on the yard stuff the rest of it stops. Get while the getting is good! Yesterday for a bit and this morning it is GOOD! I'm looking forward to seeing you all at Jody's on the 28th. My angel blessings~s
