Please excuse my typos. Having only one arm right now stinks. 4 more weeks in the darn sling and then I am going to burn it.

Welcome Jabcrazy and Kvanlieshout. Jab, I am out on the River in Courtland if you ever need a Navy mom lunch. I go into Elk Grove twice a week for physical therapy but I am currently at our beach house in Mexico until March 11. Physical therapy post op is much better in the warm weather.
I am sorry to miss the next meet and greet. I had a great time at the last one. I thought of all your guiter when I was making my squares for the friendship baby quilts for my sailors PIR group. It has been alsmsot three years but a god group of us has remained friends and we celebrte each new baby with a friendship quilt.
My sailor son flew hme the weekend of my surgery and it was so nice to see him even if I was pretty groggy. We will be travelling some time to San Diego as his ship is finishing up their dry dock repairs and heading back to their home port. They are long overdue and many families will be happy to be reunited. It is much easier to travel to San Diego than Pensacola and Bremerton and I am loking forward to sending more time with him. His long term GF broke up with hm right before Valentines day. He had a gorgeous engagement ring custom made for her. They are going to get together and talk about it when he returns to San Diego. She is finsihing up nursing school and under a ton of stress so we will see if it works out I guess it is busy that son is super busy getting ready to change ports to mope too much. Never a dull moment.

Welcome to jabcrazy and Kvanlieshout. Very glad that you are here. This is a good place to aks all your questions - and if we don't have answers to help, we will all learn together.

I am planning on coming on Saturday, Paymaster - but for some reason my computer is not cooperating with me, and I can't RSVP.

Also, there were two new Moms (if I am remembering right) that I've offered rides to - Foresthill - and Auburn? Maybe somewhere else - please remind me, so that we can make arrangements to car pool. I'll leave Nevada City around noon.

We just got back from a quick 'rescue mission' to Poulsbo, WA to help Miss Brianna who is having a touch time with the first deployment that she ever remembers. Pa fixed a couple of things, and she and Oma got to play and talk.

Hope that everyone has a great week!

Hello fellow Navy moms,
My SR's PIR is 3/15/2013 then onto Fort Lee, Virginia for CS A school. I would have never made it this far without the Navy Moms. We live in Elk Grove.
Nice to meet you,
Wendy

It doesn't matter how long they are in, your heart always drops when they call to inform you they are deploying.

Mine call last night on his drive into base for a none scheduled deployment.  Couldn't tell us where or for how long.  Its the nature of their business.  Gods speed to all.

My son just texted me and said he landed in Chicago I can't wait to get the " I am here call" just to hear his voice. I am so very proud of my future sailor....
