Oh I lived in Elk Grove on elk grove florin road. When there was nothing out there. We lived in a trailer with 5 horses. I loved it there. My boy who's on the Nimitz was born there

Hi moms, my son also left on the 22nd out of DFW.  I got his box today and am now anxiously waiting for his letter.   Even though this isn't my first time to send one to boot camp (Oldest went Army), it is still really difficult to walk past the empty bedroom.  Thanks for all the encouraging words.

I hope that it all works out for you and your future Sailor.  It is possible that he could be in a Push division and only be at the RTC 7 1/2 weeks since he is arriving at the beginning of the week, so you may be fine.  Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC, as you prepare for him to leave. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Thanks for the Friend request; I hope we can be around for some time to support each other. You will not know your future Sailor's PIR date for certain until you get the form letter about 2 weeks after he arrives.  To guestimate his PIR date, count 9 Fridays after he arrives to get the most likely date, March 22, but know that it could be the week before, March 15, if he is one of the last to fill a division from the previous week, which is possible for him since he will be arriving on a Tuesday, or the week after, March 29, which is less likely to happen for him than if he were arriving later in the week. If there is ever anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
