I wouldn't be able to do a midweek unless it's a Thursday evening as I have to get up early on the weekdays. I'm off on Fri, Sat, Sun.

Maybe a mid-week.

umm, how about talking today about it. Maybe Sizzler in Auburn (13570 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA  <I-80 & Lincoln or Bowman>). They have tons of room. Let me know what you all decide - missing you and sorry that I can't connect with our newbees (new to me - I've been around a while). Blessings to everyone, praying with you for your sailors.

Well I'm going to have to cancel on the Meet & Greet tomorrow. This weather though a welcomed sight, is too dangerous for driving over the hill. Hope to meet up with you all next time.

Hey Girls: I'm so sorry - I am not going to make it tomorrow. WORK would be my life right now. Maybe we can do a mid-week dinner? Doubt it as most of you work M-F. I'll be holding you all in my prayers.

It is awesome to see so much activity and new folks here!. WELCOME, and keep posting.

I'll see if I can convince the hubby for a drive over the hill. I would LOVE to meet all of you! As we get closer to the weekend, I will put in an RSVP. Anything we need to being or plan for?

Ok, ladies I have posted the Meet and Greet for this coming Sat.  If you are able to come you can RSVP either here or on Facebook.  Looking forward to seeing all of you on Sat!

You're welcome Sierrascrapper.  Another thing-your SR will be worrying about how you're doing.  If you write that life is just going along as normal, your SR will know you're just fine (even when you aren't, but then you come here!) Always keep letters on a high note, lots of pride, countdowns, and can't wait to see you's.  It sounds like you've got a great plan for keeping busy.  You will find yourself tearing up at places like the grocery store when you aren't buying things that you would have, and when you see their empty room, and when you get "the box."  We all do that.  You can let those feelings go here and no one will judge you, we've been down this road of rollercoaster emotions.  We're here to hold you up through the bad days and celebrate with you the good days.

Thanks for the helpful comment Janai'sMom...I will hold everyone's suggestions to my heart and hopefully it will keep me strong. Hearing how strong all of you are really helps.  I'm not a weepy gal, and I'm pretty straightforward, but man I loose it a lot more often now.  Not straight up sobbing, just tearing up mostly.  I don't see myself as an emotional person at all.  However, since my son has sworn into DEP, I find I am a lot more empathetic which in turn makes me more emotional.  Does that even make sense?

Anyway, thanks for giving such detail on what you actually wrote about. Everyone says to write about the mundane stuff, but it still didn't click on what that is.  I wouldn't have thought about writing about what I bought at the grocery store.  The hubby and I plan on helping out the high school marching band again next summer while my son is in BC.  So, that will give me something to write about since they keep the kids and parents pretty involved.  They have a mini music bootcamp to get the kids ready for their first parade.  I will make it a point to go watch the kids practice and write about that in his letters.  I know he will enjoy it and it will give me something more to write about.  I'm ready for this amazing journey, I just want to make sure I am prepared as much as possible. Thank goodness for N4M!
