Hi, and Thanks!! :)
My son, lives with his dad in WA :( BUT, as I am here in CA, I wanted to join a group of moms going through the same thing as I am.
I just had to go down to the recruiter a few days ago to sign the paperwork since he's still only 17.
I'm very excited for him, but a bit nervous too.
Welcome tlcmagic! Several of us live close by to you. Please jump in and join us. Don't be afraid to ask questions as someone here will know the answer. Enjoy you son being home for these last few weeks.
Hi!!! I am new here. My son is now starting to sign paperwork to join! Although it will be a year (he's going into his senior year of high school), I am excited and very proud of him!!!!
Hello Ladies....I've been MIA for the last few months due to a move and some health issues. I'm back...our son Ships Out Aug 21 for GL!! His A school is also at GL. It's coming fast and starting to feel overwhelmed - LOL.
Thanks for the welcome! Always in need of some friends that love to laugh!
My son is 18 and will be shipping out December 5th and after GL my son is scheduled to head to Logistics training in Miss. This is a new adventure as I am a complete rookie at this stuff but have already learned so much from this website. I am thankful his recruiter told me about it.
Alison....We look forward to meeting you also. Make sure you bring your smile and sense of humor as these girls love to smile and laugh.
I sent you a Friend request.
Welcome Alison. This is a great group with lots of Navy knowledge.
I am new here and the meet and greet sounds fun; I have the date penciled in my calendar. Let me know what materials are needed for the project....Look forward to meeting everyone and learning about the Navy.
I will try , Jody. Chrissy got another week of leave. She will be here tomorrow and is taking Aidan back to VA with her for the rest of the summer. It is nice she is at a big base, they have day programs for the kids. Then she gets to go home at night and be with him. I hope he likes it there becasue she is so excited about it, she hasn't had more then two weeks with him in three years.
ok, I have the next Meet and Greet posted above. Hope you can all come out and join us for a fun afternoon!
