Happy Memorial Day everyone. Welcome Katheeh. Awesome news Christian - congrats christine. It is an awesome feeling when our kids achieve such wonderful goals.
Our Blue Star Mom's chapter has taken on a great project. On the bridges in Nevada City, Grass valley and Truckee are bronze plaques with the information of those who gave the greatest sacrifice. This year the BSM's placed three more plaques. They have also designed a walk to all the plaques. So, if you are looking for something awesome todo - come and do a Gold Star walk in honor of those who have made our freedom ring.
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful memorial day - that you get to connect wtih your sailors, an tell them thank you.
Good morning Nor Cal Moms, Welcome Katheeh.
Bravo Zulu to Christian, Christine.
I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Take a moment out of the BBQs and fun to remember our fallen heros. (I know I am preaching to the choir here but just have to say it)
got great news this morning....you know the 6 am phone call I'd gladly take again....Christian is being promoted to OS2. He's been away from his rate for almost 2 years so we're pretty excited! BRAVO ZULU OS2 Christian!
Welcome Katheeh, this is a great group and we get together frequently. You'll feel right at home and learn a lot too. Always lots of good conversation and laughter.
Welcome Katheeh! Glad you just jumped right in here. Lots of wonderful mom's on this group. If you need something or have a question, just ask.
We are getting together on June 2nd. Just look above in the bulletin board and you will see the next meet and greet. Please join us, its very easy to RSVP. When you come just look for the table with all the laughter:)
Hi Everyone! I didn't know about this group until today. All through my son being in BC I thought I was the only California mom going through this. His PIR was 04/27/12 and he's in GL for school. Have met a lot of wonderful Moms/GF's through this site and his division but everyone lived in other states.
LZ asked me to post the meet and greet for June 2nd. If you can stop by and enjoy a fun afternoon, please RSVP above. Hope to see you all!
Chrissy is going to Fleet Week in New York City! She left on her ship today, I am so excited for her and a little jealous. I was born in Highland Falls, NY when my Dad was at West Point, we left when I was two, and I have never been back there.
The Frog Jump was going on this last weekend while Sam was home. I was stressed about it all week and it seemed to end uneventfully until the last day. He answered his cell while driving inside the Angels Camp city limits and got caught. They said, any other weekend or 30 feet out of town, and he could have gotten off. No tolerance during Frog Jump, I don't think he will ever forget and answer his phone while driving again!
