The weekend was lovely! We had a long drive down and an even LONGER drive back - but it was worth it!!! Since he is "phase one" he can't leave the base yet - so we had to find everything we could there on base to entertain ourselves. But we did ok. Mostly we just hung out and spent time chatting and my husband worked on getting his new computer set up for him. As long as we were together, I was happy! Not sure when we'll see him again.

You leave to see your "hubbin" soon, don't you? So what is the plan? What happens after A school for you? Does he have any other schools/training he has to do?

All the best with the END of the school year!

very cool! I actually worked with autistic middle schoolers for a couple years. Loved it so much, but it was SO physical and emotional! My daughter is currently a Para in a middle school MOMAR class. Its her 3rd year. She's also going to school to be a Speech Pathologist. She has a ways to go since she also has to work full time! I'm sure you're really waonderful at what u do. And I've no doubt your students are blessed to have u and will miss you terribly when you're gone. I'm also sure you'll have no problem finding something wherever you go. Its always beautiful when special kids/people can have terrific people who genuinely care about them. I will hope you are BOTH lead to just the right place to share your unique gifts. :)

i'll let you know how the visit goes. :)

WOW - a teacher! That's wonderful! What grade? I know this time of year has to be CRAZY BUSY for you!

Be sure to let me know when you find out where you'll be, and we can see what I can set up. Either way, Norfolk or San Diego, you will LOVE IT. My son and daughter-in-law and their little girl are moving to San Diego in Aug. It's a lovely place.

J is going to basically be and asst. to the Chaplain and his body guard. Which means he also has to go to combat school. I think he'll enjoy it. I HOPE SO. When he's 21 he can go to seminary to work towards being an actual Chaplain. He'll have to get a degree to do that.

Have a wonderful rest of your day!

I hadn't heard that about 195. P was in 199 so he wouldn't have known what was going on.
What would be your husbands pick? CA or VA? I know P was hoping for Hawaii!
So were you able to get a place in GL short term while your husbands in school?
Never thought about how hard it is on the wives-the uncertainty of the time frame of things and moving. How are you doing?

J is in school in South Carolina to be an "RP" - which is a Chaplain's asst. - he wants to be a Chaplain, and this is his first step! We are heading down there this weekend to visit with him. It will be good. Short - but good!

Norfolk is a good place to start out at! Then I could come visit you, and bring sweet Lori with me! :) AND the company I work for does a lot with the Navy ships down there, so I might be able to get us a tour or something! It would be super FUN! :)

Glad you will soon be with your hubby. I know you must miss him a lot.

Blessings,
~marilyn~

We DID have our PIR on the 27th! And it's wonderful to hear from you!

I live in Stafford, and work in Arlington/Rosslyn. Are you coming back here after A school is done, or do you know yet??

It'd be great to keep in touch, and maybe even squeeze in a lunch if we have time before you head out!

Blessings,
~marilyn~

Welcome, Cori! I hope that you find this to be a WONDERFUL PLACE!!

Lori - you're right! I will have to work to get other people on here to balance the support for Jordan! Heehee!!

I am hopeful that we will find others who will be a part of our Navy group here! :)
