Still no letter from my son. The recruiter gave us his address and said he was on ship 7 div 55. I guess he has had his wisdom teeth out by now and has not felt very good. I was upset when the recruiter told us the day he was leaving that if he still had his teeth they were coming out, whether he needed it or not. He said they give them 2 days to get over it and thats it. I am concerned that he is having a hard time. But praying that he is okay! I will be going to GL for my youngest sons PIR on 12-17 and then my oldest will have his I think on 1-28-2011? Just waiting on the formal letter to confirm it. I hope it comes today in the mail. I just need to hear from him !!!! Missing both my boys so much. This has been very hard having both of them leave for the Navy within weeks of each other.

My daughter is in Ship 02 Div 910 and i received the form letter, and two other letters from her. The first letter it seemed like she was questioning her decision and didn't know if it was the right one. The second letter she was practicing her letter writing, the way they want them to write. She sounded much better, she had cleaning duty with 8 other people, she wasn't to happy about what she was doing but she said it was better than some of the other things. cleaning the head as she put it. she was on holiday schedule. they start pting this week, she is carrying a flag for the graduation ceremonies and says she is doing what she is told and nothing more. not alot of time for anything.

Hi Pooky - my daughter is Ship 2 Div 910 too - we got a letter from her today and the form letter. Have you heard from your future daughter-in-law yet?

Yea! We got a short letter from our son today. He is in Ship 02 Div 910. His letter was dated Sunday, November 28th. We still have not received a form letter yet.

Sounds like things are going well so far. He said they were still in processing and would not start PT until this week. He also said he will graduate January 28th and should leaves for Charleston, SC on February 2nd (“ish”). He requested stamps and addresses, guess he’s planning to write a lot. ;)

Congratulations to everyone who received letters today. If you haven’t received a letter yet hang in there, when it arrives you will feel great!
