My husband is on the USS Vicksburg CG 69. He's a QM. I moved to mayport for about 4 months and really didn't like it because he was underway a lot and I got lonely. I also have a 3 year old daughter. We moved back to Miami, FL. I will be going to school here and visiting him when he's not underway before their deployment. My husband has been in for only a year and mayport being his first base is pretty awesome. I really like the base a lot.

Hi Everyone!  I just want to introduce myself and let you know how excited our family is that my son and New Daughter in Law will be stationed in Mayport, Florida soon.  He is in San Antonion now just finishing his Hospital Corpsman training. We are all in Texas but can't wait to learn more about Florida and this beautiful Navy Base.

My Sailor is assigned to the Hue City.  He is a dc.  I understand their lengthy deployment will be after the first of the year.  they have been out for 1-2 week training several times since he reported to Mayport last August.

Hey everyone,

We just started a long deployment last month, and I could really use some new friends since I dont know anyone here. My one year old daughter and I love finding things to go, or just hanging out at home. If there is anyone out there looking to meet other family please email town_2202@yahoo.com There is so much to do here, just not as fun when you do it alone. Hope to hear from you,

Stephanie

Hey Lisa 3/235  My son is assigned to the HueCity.  He's a DC!  He just moved into base housing this week but sometimes sleeps aboard in his rack!

My son joined NS Mayport  in August. He is now deployed on the USS Carney. Any one else have someone on the CArney?

Hello everyone, I have a fiance (soon to be husband) stationed in Mayport, FL and is on the USS Hue City is anyone else on this ship?

Alyse, he's a Damage Controlman.  We are so happy for him to be at Mayport; it's only a 4-5 hour drive from home.
