Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey Ladies--Very interesting!  My Sailor is 23 & his PIR was June 3.  Grandbobo, if you will let me know Tim's name via pvt ms, I will pass it on for sure.  Crimson, we live in Central Ala north of Montgomery.  I expect my Sailor will graduate in early August.  Still no particular ship ass't, but I will tell him to try & look up a Jax, AL Sailor with a May PIR!  I know they must have crossed paths by now.

Hey, grandboboo, my son will be stationed at Mayport on the USS Taylor. He is a DC. How does your son like Mayport? We live in Alabama so it will not be that far from home. He should report some time in late July.

Hey Slapout52, my son also got orders for Mayport  and he is still at A School, He graduated bootcamp May6. We are also from Alabama. We were very happy to hear that he got so close to home. My son is from Jacksonville,Al and is DC. He will be on the USS Taylor. Let me know when your son finds out his ship. They may know each other.

@grandbobo--He doesn't know what ship just yet--he thinks a cargo ship though.  He's a DC.

Hey group! I got a call from my A school Sailor yesterday.  He doesn't know yet when he will graduate, but he already has orders to Mayport!  We are in Alabama, so very happy!

housing is okay on or off base. They have redone most & building new..
