OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

good evening everyone......My name is Sabine, and I have a son, who, after BC and A school at Great Lakes, is now stationed at Mayport Naval Base, Florida.
He is assigned to USS Vicksburg CG 69. I would like to know if anybody else has a loved one on that ship. I am new to this site and the Navy itself. I would welcome some Hellos and all kinds of Information on the Ship, the Port, and the surounding area. I am here in San Antonio, Texas, but I would like to stay connected........thank you

HELLLP! We were supposed to have our wedding reception at the Sea Otter pavillion, we were told it was available and i just received a call saying it wasn't anymore. The only other outdoor places were the ones across from the RV park. I've already ordered catering and everything. Does anyone else have any ideas at all?! I was trying to keep it all on base!

Has he got a bed yet? I know in the Mayport Mirror moving sailors are always posting ads about cheap mattress'. Tell him to check it out.
