OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

elaine - doesn't sound lame at all. It's hard for anyone to go somewhere where they don't know other people. No matter what your age. I think this site will be great for you to make some connections and make new friends. I can almost guarantee there are some other wives in your boat as well. New to the base and lonely. Hang in there, you're going to make some lifelong friends : )

My brand new Daughter in law is also 19 and lives in base housing. They have only been there about 6 weeks. I sent a friend request. I can give you their address if you send me a message

Hi Elaine, That does not sound lame at all. My son is getting married this weekend, and his wife will be moving there in about a week. I'm sure she is going to be just as lonely as you.I will make sure to let her know about this website. You should also send me a friend request.
