Vincent's Mom, I checked the website for Balfour Beatty Communities and the housing for MenRiv Park (the community where the housing for married enlisted live in Goose Creek) has hookups for washing/dryers.

rosie.. it might be a stretch as well as unreliable, but sometimes craigslist actually does turn up some good finds... see where that takes you :)

Hi, does all of the housing units have washer and dryer hook ups? Even the old ones?

Victoria, there is definitely plenty of housing ..I'm not sure if there has ever been a wait list. They have a ton of houses here..the only thing is you take a chance on which type of house you get (new, renovated, old) but there will definitely be houses open. I've never moved on the Navy's dime before but according to friends that have, they give you a % up front and then reimburse you for certain expenses afterwards. Keep all receipts!

I would be enjoying my time with my son but he seems to be around the house only when he is sleeping.

Mine, too. He's home right now. However he was up and out while I was at Yoga so I am sorry to say I haven't seen much of him. His plane was so delayed last night we got home from the airport at 2am.

it all depends. My boyfriend didn't get to leave until a month after he graduated because on his grad date there was a mass power school grad too. So now he has to stay back and do watches before they let his class leave. This was a semi-rare occurrence but your son should know a month before he graduates.

It is and no I am not in GC. I have mixed feelings today. It's his first major accomplishment that I have not witnessed. There will be many more and I will see him tonight!!!! He is coming home for ten days...yipee. I'm so jealous you are going to be in GC. I can't wait to visit down there. I was thinking Thanksgiving.
