There were no restrictions on pictures just be sure to take your ID with you. I saw all sorts of attire at A school graduation just as with PIR.

Barbara Joe, my son says the PMB costs $10 a month. They got 7 months for $60. It's definitely worth it! I sent his laptop and he got it the day UPS delivered it.

Barbara Joe- My son and his roommate went in on a PMB box together. Only one name can go on it and that person has to be the one things are addressed and the one to pick up the mail. My son says, "We're nukes mom. We can figure out that mail from California is for me." Hee, hee. I love how proud he is to be a nuke!

A jury summons just came for SEAN. Of course, I can't get a PERSON on the phone and none of their automated options fit the situation. Ergh!!
I finally just called any local courthouse number I could find to get a human being and, after a few trials and errors, I got the the Jury Supervisor. It turns out she is a nice Navy Mom who totally helped me out! She let me sign it as his mother and fill out U.S. Navy Active Duty as occupation and put his base as current address. I love Navy Moms!!! Hooyah! ;^)

Colleen in PA,
I know what you mean about letting go. My son had already lived away from home with a job and some college when he joined the Navy. I worried he would get lost at the airport and all sorts of other things. He has been fine and if he has a question he has called to ask (and they have been very few). I've been so impressed that he has remembered so many of my 'teaching moments' when I thought he wasn't really listening. And so very proud of the man he has become, more so since he joined the Navy (which I knew would happen). I keep telling him that it's hard to let go entirely when you have been in charge as a mother for the last 18 years. It's not something you can just turn off suddenly. I still worry about some of the next steps he has to take but learning to keep them to myself.

Casey and Dana,, Thanks for the info. I'm sure Nate would find the mim NEX but as his mom, it's hard to let go, I have to take this in "baby steps"! I am getting better though, afterall, as he said in a letter, "I'm all grown up now."! He will be 19 on 09APR.

Hi I am new to this site. I am Navy mom. My son Janus is graduating A school on Mar 19. Where do we park and how long is the walk to graduation hall.

Mini Nex and Subway are right next to the barracks or at least the closest thing they can walk to that isn't school. He will find it very, very, fast. I think it's the first thing they all go to when they are giving the opportunity.
