Duchess2006> Our son was a NUPOC. He graduated from U of I's College of Engineering a semester early, We thought he'd be home with us for the next semester but nope....was home for all of two weeks before he left for OCS in RI. He graduated and was home with us for several weeks before leaving for school in Charleston middle of May, What a whirlwind. Our sons most likely are in the same school.

NukeMomCarol> Your daughter will be just fine. Have confidence in the Navy's selection process. They have invested a lot of money in NUPOCs by the time they head off to OCS. She wouldn't be in the program if they didn't believe she would successfully complete it.

Moehrle, Sorry I can't help with flight info, we drove.  You might want to join the OCS Moms group - http://navyformoms.ning.com/group/ocsgraduatemoms and if you're on Facebook, the best source of current information is a FB group that is set up for each class as they arrive - Search for Navy OCS Class XX-17 Friends & Family.  Also, you should consider joining the NUKE Moms group here - http://navyformoms.ning.com/group/nukemoms It's a very active group and that will be the next step after OCS in the Nuke pipeline.

Thank you for the information.  What airport is best to fly into?

Comment by ITgal on March 17, 2017 at 4:39pm

Hi Moehrle,  I don't remember a limit to the number of people that could attend OCS graduation.  There was a limit on the number that could attend the 'Hi Moms' reception the night before, due to space.  The candidates have to pay for that also, so that created limits as well.

Hello..  Does anyone know how many people are allowed to attend the NOPOC graduation ceremony?

Comment by NukeMomCarol on May 28, 2015 at 1:01pm

Hi Melissa, My daughter Hannah signed in Feb as well. They must of been there together. She still has two years of school to go
