I am new to this group.  I have enjoyed reading the previous posts from you all. My son's girl friend told me about it.  Just wish I had known sooner.

I am really looking forward to this week.  He will probably put on his 'oh shucks' look, as whole family is driving up for the event.  Just wish I had more details, he says the invitation is in the mail but we haven't gotten it yet.

I just wish he had made this decision sooner, his grandfather (career Navy) would have been so proud of him.

Hi, and welcome.
Don't wait for the invitation to arrive. Mine never did come in the mail. The discussion for the 22 November class has some details of graduation on one of the last pages.
Let him put on his Oh shucks look! He has completed a rigorous and demanding program, and should be fussed over and celebrated. Enjoy your trip, and let us know how it went.
Enjoy the graduation. This is one of the most significant achievements your loved one will ever complete. You will be so very proud. Read what you can of the various posts before you leave so you have some idea of what's going on! Congratulations to your son and welcome to the Navy family. Let us know about the graduation and commissioning ceremonies once you return home.
Just to let you know my daughter graduated two weeks ago...I looked for the invitation and it never came...however, at the "Hi Moms" reception...there was a box of invitations on the table as we entered...so those who wanted them could recieve them at that time...as long a your LO knows how many people are coming there is no problem...Have a great time...It goes by very quickly, but be ready to "Hurry up and Wait" and look for a new wardrobe....
