I currently have a son nearing graduation at OCS.  A few weeks ago I started a discussion in the moms of officers group (I think that is the title).  One person gave some very helpful information which I decided to post here in case someone doesn't see it there.

"If you do Facebook, there is usually a private group for family for most OCS classes.  Search for "Navy OCS class _ _ - _ _". . It can be confusing because some title the group by the start date of OCS because they aren't sure of the class number initially & others use the class number. If you're unsure if it's the correct group, I have found that asking the admin of the group via the membership questions usually works & everyone is really friendly & will let you know if you've found the right group. I found the FB group to be a great way to connect with other family from the same class. "Officer Training Command Newport", where OCS is, also has a page that can be helpful while your LO is at OCS. They will post photos of some of the candidates so if you're lucky you can catch a glimpse of your LO!"

I had no idea to look on Facebook.  If someone has started a group (or you want to) it seemed a very good way to connect.  Hope this will help.

My son just started OCS in Class 02-22... arrived last Sunday.  I haven't found a face book page yet for that class.  How long before they start posting to the class page?

HEY LISA MARIE.  My son is in the same class as yours.

FACEBOOK GROUP is called NAVY OCS class 15AUG21

there isn't much activity on it...but it's a good way to connect with other new OCS Navy moms.  I've "met" a few...and it's been a lifesaver.

Thank you so much for the information.... I was looking for Class 02-22.  I requested to join the group last night and am waiting to be approved.
