While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi,
My son graduated in May 2010, so I can give you some info on whatever you're wondering about. He started on 1/24, and I got his first email on 1/30. He only had a few minutes, just to say hi and that the Drill Sgt was trying to kill them(figure of speech). No phone calls for weeks, no letters for weeks. But we all got through it, and you will too. We're all in this together.

He is getting so excited and a little anxious too. Has your son joined their group on FB?

My son began 10/24 and is scheduled for graduation 01/28 provided nothing goes unexpectedly. I think our e-mail came about 10 days in but was short. I would say about 4 weeks in they really get worn down due to lack of sleep and just general wear. This has been a family journey - as we had a couple of medical issues that we believe are now all clear. I wish your LO one all the best and strength and encourage them all the way!

My LO(fiance) is class 07-11, started Dec. 5. You should create a facebook group and then join the other groups. You will learn lots of valuable information on the sites. Search facebook for ocs 07-11 family and friends, ocs 06-11, ocs 05-11 family and friends, etc.
