Its so weird to look here and at BootCamp group - my SR left 10/24 and already that seeems so long ago and yet it hasn't been a month!! Can't wait till 12/16 - time does seem to go a little faster after you start getting letters and stuff!  He seems to be adjusting better as well!! I couldn't have done it had it not been for this website and all the moms going through it together and the veteran moms who devote alot of time and effort!!!  THANK YOU!

My2Sailors my daughter is also in a WINTR. She is an FN though and from what I understand is a Fireman/Engineer but is also undesignated in that field because she said she wanted to strike as a GSE.

Kendrasue -  My SR got to GL on October 4th. His div is week 4 day 2 as of today.. For the Navy moms that are just starting this rollercoaster ride hang in there it does get better. The first two weeks are hell but once you get that first real letter things start to get a little easier. Since I received that first phone call and was able to talk to my son for 22 minutes things have been alot better for me. Just hearing his voice has turned things around. I could hear in this voice that he was doing good and sounded like himself. Now I am getting ready for his PIR which is 24 days away.. Can't wait. Time does seem to go by faster after that phone call.
