I don't live in Cincinnati however I do live in Conesville, Oh which I'm not sure if there are any navy moms here or near me

Hi, I live in Middletown. My son I an LT JG; he went through the ROTC program at Miami and graduated in May 2010. He is assigned to a PC and will soon be headed to the Persian Gulf.

Not at all, I didn't know either 3 yrs ago! It stands for Lieutenant Junior Grade.

I live in New Richmond, OH.  My son graduated from boot camp February 10, 2012 and is stationed in Norfolk on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. He is an Airman Ordinance.

Hello, I live in the Loveland/Milford area.  My son left for Boot Camp on June 10th.  Still anxiously awaiting the letter.  I tell myself every morning (and many times throughout the day) that No News is Good News.

Hi PattiP,  The letter came today:)  His PIR is Aug 9th.  So happy just to see his handwriting.  I've been answering all calls, not what I usually do as I try to avoid surveys and telemarketers.  I've never been so tied to my cellphone.

Emilypet, Goatlady, Acecase & Chrissybear--- would any or all of you be interested in walking in a parade Sat. Sept 14 at 10am with Navyformoms and pass out packets for Navyformoms so that other moms can find out about us and we can carry photo of our son or daughter with their name, rank, where from and where they are stationed....Let me know.  If so I will friend request you and send you updates so you will know where to meet us.

Ktssong, are you still planning on walking in the parade? Have any others shown interest in participating? I'm still interested but I'm having a lot of knee/feet problems. How long is the parade route?

ktssong, I'm sorry, but I will be out of town that week.  Have fun with it.

I live in Mason, Ohio.  My son is in  Mississippi.  He is a Seabee....getting ready to go on his second deployment.  We have learned alot.  I call him every weekend.  I visit almost every three or four months either by flying or driving just to keep ties with family tight.  He and his wife have an apartment off base.  He got married after bootcamp.  He said if she can stick with him through the bootcamp and A school he would marry her.  He didn't tell her that and she made it through it.  We are very close.  I stayed with her while he went to FEX before this deployment.  We both encourage each other through deployment.  I encourage all of you to go to Bootcamp graduation if you can because it is awesome.  When you see the sea of soldiers coming through the doors when they first march in it gave me tears of joy and goosebumps.

ChrisyDVM yes I am still doing the parade.  I just got done planning and having a huge party for my mom's 90th so now I can focus on this.  I'm going to start getting things together and get up with you....Patti P....I went to the NEX online but I didn't use my son's info to go on and look at the t-shirts can you copy it to your computer somehow and show us on here?  I was too worried about security.

I'll keep all posted on the parade.  It will be nice to represent navyformoms because it helps all of us so much and our sons and daughters by helping us too. Ha.
