Welcome all! I don't come on here much anymore but I do get the posts to this group in my email.
Any of you who are interested in coming to the Brunch at Moosehead, Olmsted Falls 44138, next Sunday. Are WELCOmE to join us. This will be our 3rd year to do.a February Brunch there. It's about $15 each adult. We are meeting at 11:00 when they open. They have us set for 20 people but can always increase that with no problem. Some bring the hubby, kids and a few Sailors have joined us. If you are coming just tell the hostess Ohio Navy Mom. Bring a picture of your sailor if you'd like.
(My son is turning 23 on the 27th of February and has been in since April of 2010. He's Aviation Support Tech. Since boot camp graduation he's been to Pensacola,Florida/ Lemoore,California/ Afghanistan/ Everett, Wa. Deployed on the USS Nimitz this past year and currently back in Everett.

While your loved one is in boot camp do keep that cell phone close or home phone. Write your sailor and give him the phone number to call you at in order of attempts. Sometimes they can only try one number and the calls are short sometimes. Other times you get a ten minute call.

Remember No NEWS is GOOD NEWS!! Everyone has a different experience so don't get upset if your letters aren't coming or you've gone without hearing. Just as you are trying to cope with them away they are trying to cope with being away.

And check out our Ohio Navy Moms on Facebook.

Hi, Moonbeam, welcome to the group. I don't live too far from you. There are several of us from Mantua. In fact one has a son in the Nuke program I think. The Ohio moms Facebook group is having a luncheon soon that you might want to check out.

Thanks Patti~ I mostly do FB, but thought I'd give N4M another look since my son is almost done with school. Yes, I'm up between Cleve/Akron area. Good luck to your son!

Hello fellow Ohioans ;). I was searching through the groups and found this one... I live in Walton Hills, which is next to Bedford, Northfield, and Valley View. My son has been in for just over 2 years, and is hopefully finishing up Nuke training in the next month. If his orders stick, he will be on a sub in WA state.

Any Ohio moms have a son/ daughter that swore in at MEPS on the 13 of jan?

My son's ship is in "River City".  Does anyone know what this might all be about?  I know that it means there is no communication.  I thought it was an actual location at first.  If you google it is talks about being in River City when someone dies until they can notify the family.  I am such a worry wort and just wish I could hear from him.  He left on deployment 2 weeks ago and I have not heard anything since he left.
