OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My sailor finally started AE classes or his A school. He will grad. on Jan.16th and then wait for his orders. He has been told that he doesn't get any pick on where he is going-he is fts navy reserves, so he will go to a navy reserve base wherever they need him to be. He is suppose to work with the reservist coming in on weekends training them and then during the week he will be fixing all the stuff that they messed up on the weekends.
I hope this is really right but who knows? I do know he doesn't get to have a dream list (I think thats what they call it) of orders.

Really, rorysmom? I'll have to ask my son about his division's murderous feelings. He never mentioned that. LOL Then again, most of the time, he's Mr. Easygoing, so it might be that he just stayed in the background, away from any drama. :)
I think I'm pretty happy that he's so busy with his studies in Goose Creek, and there aren't many females there. He just turned 19 last week, and I am NOT ready to be a MIL for my "baby." (And if he knew I said that, he would just about die. Yeah, my 6'1" baby. But he's my youngest, so there.)
