have a safe trip teachertoo, and thanks everyone for the help on getting a passport. Dustinsgirl, You need a hobby of some kind, maybe take some kind of art class at night. The have lots to choose from at most colleges or community centers. Everything you can think of, drawing, painting, cooking, baking, pottery, photography, etc. I took stained glass classes a few months ago and loved it. Most are very inexpensive. And if all these suggestions fail then you can just travel across the country and visit each one of the oreo queens lol. I know you can come visit me anytime you want. We would be happy for you to stay with us. :)

Hi Dustins Girl!!! So glad to see your sweet face! It might sound funny, but I was thinking of knitting or crocheting like beanies for those in the military in colder areas. I heard they are really easy after a few lessons! I also think the volunteering is a great idea! Hope all is well for you and he is doing good. Are you still planning a trip to So Cal?

See, the problem with that is in the few years we've been together I think we have a total of like 5 pictures of us together. :-( We just never took pics of ourselves. So the scrapbooking would take up a whole 2 pages maybe. lol. And there weren't that many pictures from PIR because we spent most of the time in our room because he was too tired to go anywhere.

Dustin's Girl: Are you into or have you checked out scrapbooking? If you aren't yet, this is a great time to start scrapping with all those photos of PIR weekend! Then you can get caught up with all of your old photos. It certainly can eat up lots of my time--in a good way! If you're new to it, you can start out with some classes at Michael's, Joann's or Hobby Lobby. So much fun!

And Lala, I saw your post about the passport. I have mine and you don't need to enter a destination. You just go down and order one, go have your picture taken and send that in and they mail it to you. Simple as that. I was a little appalled at how expensive they were so just be aware of that before hand.

Ok, so I know you ladies are a wealth of information and I'm hoping that once again I can use it to help me out. haha. What are some ideas for things to keep myself busy while Dustin is away in the military? I've tried throwing myself into work but that place is so stressful as it is, it only makes matters worse. I can't start school this year because there were some mixups with my financial aid paperwork. Any other suggestions?? lol

Afternoon, OQ's. I haven't been here often but still nice as always to read what's going on. My son hasn't started A school yet as there aren't enough to start a class. He's still at Great Lakes and loving it! Taking general classes and enjoying some quiet time. Any other moms have sailors planning on being corpsmen?
