FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Papaw67-hello. My daughter graduated A school last summer and now is an OS  in Japan aboard the USS Tortuga

My son graduated boot camp 3/15/13 and is now at Great Lakes for o.s. school am I on the right site to ask questions about o.s. ??

Awesome! Enjoy homecoming! I was fortunate enough to get on a 2-day Tiger Cruise and be on the ship for homecoming. We also had about a dozen family members who made the trip but most of them were in driving distance.

Congrats MJ's mom....My son stayed in GL for a few weeks but there was no big official graduation.  It is a very small event and I was not aware of any parents being there.  I live in Florida and had gone up for the grad from BC so did not attend the OS one. Right after A school, he went to his ship which is in Mayport, FL.

well he did it graduated staying in GL for school as an OS what can i expect now any help would be great is there a graduation for OS
