For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

thank you so much christine im an old army brat so the navy mom is so new to me but im ready for this adventure my youngest son is wanting to follow in michael footsteps we shall see how this all unfolds.
MJmom, I think it'd be a safe bet to say yes, you should get full weekend with your sailor. Your sailor will know for sure prior so when you get the "mom I'm now a US Navy Sailor" call you can verify it because they will know by then. But you have plenty of time to spend with him before he leaves for bc. Enjoy the summer, fall and Christmas with him! I know it's 6 months out, but that time will fly by and you'll be sending him off on an adventure of a lifetime. Glad that got to change his rate. It'll keep him busy.

MJ Mom, yes A school is in Great Lakes, just across the road from boot camp. But not all rates A school is in Great Lakes, OS A school use to be in VA, but moved to GL just over 3 years ago.
