Well I think probly thier is some sort of writtin guidlines that say what score they have to get to earn the flags, so it is fair for all div.'s but I don't know that for sure.
Got my Questionnaire back today!
This is what my son said they got Flags for:
Athletic, Star, Scholastic, Drill
Pennants for:
Athletic, Star, Scholastic, Phase, Independant Steaming
Ooooo...need an explanation please AMsailor!
lol alrighty! Athletic and scholastic are pretty self explanatory; PT and academics. Star is the compartment flag...the one they get for inspections. The pennants just mean they earned the flag more than once...they get a little pennant to go on the top of the flag. (You'll see them at graduation). There are three phase, but I can't remember the names of them. I think CART, MCA, and the final phase. Pennant for Phase means they're in the final phase...it lets FQA know "Hey, these guys have been here a while and they're almost Sailors...watch them even closer for mess ups" lol and then the Pennant for Independent Steaming means they can march to and from different places without an RDC present.
I agree. Thank you AM. I keep hearing good things about 180's RDC from you and my SR. I hear he runs a tight ship but the division gets it together quickly.
My son is in 180. Thank you all for the info. It's a good thing to hear!
Thank you AM sailor for getting on here and "lending a voice"...it helps!
laurelbc I am keeping your son and family in prayer. Glad he'll be getting the meds soon it should make him feel better quickly.
