Hello Ladies, I enjoyed the visit with Lauren and my son.

We were notified just before we flew out that our grandmother has Lung cancer and is being sent home without treatment. I was glad we could be with our sailor when he got the news. However I will probably not be on for the next few months. Trying to juggle grandma, the holidays and end of year at work will be very challanging to say the least.

I also picked up a Base Cd with the history of Whidbey Island and includes a phone directory for the area and base. I can try to email you a copy. please email me at bryters@hotmail.com ( I wont be checking N4M's ) and I'll try to attach it.

Happy Holidays to all, my phone number is posted below if I can help with anything. Hugs my friends!

He would say he does things all the time, but when I call Fri or Sat night and hes asleep at 8pm that bothers me.

In the same building as where they eat, they have a room with TV's and xbox and board games, I saw a few people sitting around there.

Give me his number, and i will call him.

My son never meets a stranger, and he hardly ever finds anything to do. We watched the football game in the community area, and hardly any one even passed by. I even had snacks out thinking someone might stop if they smelled some goodies.

We leave early in the AM so call me with his number 901-218-3715. We might go bowling this afternoon.

Our son arrived at Whidbey base late Wednesday night.  His sponsor met him when he arrived, got him checked in, showed him around a bit, and introduced him to some of the other squadron members.  They invited him for dinner on Thursday and took him shopping early yesterday.  I am very thankful for all of this.  Unfortunately yesterday afternoon he was bored, he said it was too cold to go out and explore, and he is too shy to call Lauren or you, Terrie.  He is in the C school barracks since the p-3 barracks are full.  He doesn't have a roommate right now, hopefully more will be open today and he will go out and explore.  It is going to be a long 6 weeks for him if he doesn't find things to do, he is a little shy and won't make the first move (sigh*).  I pray he will get out and do things.  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Woo Hoo!!! We are leaving in the morning.

I will definetly call Lauren,  about dinner.

Chris said I've lost my mind about the football, and that I have NO idea on how cold and rainny it "Will" be. LOL. But maybe a little basketball would be OK.

I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement....

Thanks for the offer Terrie but it looks like Matt will be spending Thanksgiving with his new gf's family (she lives in Burlington).  I was very impressed last year when him and bunch of his friends got together and cooked a traditional Thanksgiving meal.  Have a safe trip!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Ok, this time I sent the email through NavyforMoms.  Sorry I replied through my email on Saturday.  I believe he arrives at around 4:30 on the 23rd, thanks for the offer Terrie, he said he would call and have a sponsor arrange a ride.  I hope that sounds right, I am still learning the language.  Please look for the tall sailor that looks new (Jamison), he would probably love to meet up with you all.

Kim, I've been meaning to call you. Thanks for the coupon. We saved over $40 bucks. Do you know if Lauren has plans for Thanks Giving? I havent asked Chris yet, but thought I'd try to get a flag football game going (weather permiting) after lunch. It looks like we may be eating at the chow hall? She's welcome to join us no matter where we end up :)

Matt and Cindy your son too!
