Okay, great!! He should be able to do that no problem. Thanks girls!
He can ask for special liberty, he just puts in a special request chit. More than likely, it wold be approved. No one takes one day of leave. He could ask to muster in by phone, some commands are cool with that.
Thank you abuon. Also, does anyone know if my husband could be granted a day of leave (without being charged his actual leave) to be home when the movers arrive? Does the Navy have something for this? Similar to house hunting leave?
move.mil says someone has to be home on the day of delivery from 0800-1700. I work full time during those hours and so does he. Hope that makes sense!!
Re BUPERS, my son says your order number changes every time as its how they monitor your moves. He says you can find it by logging into BUPERS online. He may have to log in with a CAC card.
Lol :) And because we don't have any of our stuff from home. The Navy has never moved us, he has been in student status since bootcamp, I followed him here from Texas (where he was in A school).
Looking for my husband's BUPERS order number on his orders... he has gotten a lot of different hard copy orders over the past year due to all his different training locations and schooling... has his BUPERS number stayed consistent with every set of orders or is this number different each time?
