yes a pain it is.. i was reluctant to even take the time to search for places at first.. i did a little looking though, but def would not make any type of deposit or anything until i see the hard copy of his orders. that would be insane.

Yeah, BM is a short school, so he may be one of the exceptions. You can't do much without the hard copy orders, and never purchase tickets or put money on deposits until the orders are cut and you've seen them. You should try to get a copy of his orders and a POA in hand. That will make doing anything official much easier.

A lot of what I just said was for the benefit of the folks reading and not posting. Verbal orders aren't worth the paper they're written on. I've seen changes more than once.

Once he's in A school, you should be able to get everything arranged. A pain, isn't it?

yes.. i asked him over and over he said hes positive. so he must be one of the rare ones i guess. hes a BM if that helps. i havent looked into PPO yet. just asking around

Wait... PIR 10/29? How do you know he's going to Little Creek? It is extremely rare for people to have final orders while in boot camp.

No wonder no one at PPO can help you, he doesn't have hard copy orders yet, does he?

we cant replace the bulky furniture its brand new. the things in storage are mostly mine and he has a few odd and ends at his house, but has a big huge dresser that goes in our daughters room. so its a big of a toss up. i believe it would be easier for the navy to move the stuff from the storage seeing as its alot heavier that one dresser. i looked and saw that DITY pays 85% in advance. im thinking we should get a u-haul and do it our selves. its only about a 5 hour drive from where we live now. Plus we have a big dodge ram so we are able to move lots of stuff with that aswell.
