Anti M, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I have something to remember my all of my previously passed on grandparents. we took all my grandpa's suits and had them made into small teddy bears. My PaPa left me desk, it travels with me. I love it.

Good Morning !
I joined this group because some of my corpsman moms did and I thought why not I have had to move a lot in my life... What I am reading this morning WOW... My mother passed away 1 1/2 years ago and Boy what a journey since... There is always that Child that does everything and that was me in our family... I am still storing my mothers things, and as I find something I think someone would enjoy I send it to them...My mother didn't say this goes to your brother ( except for two pieces of her furniture ) so it has been up to me..Its very hard to be that child sometimes... My prayers are with the family that is going through the pain of loosing someone and then packing up the house... My heart is with you..

Anti M - so sorry to hear about your loss. We lost my MIL 6/24/03 to suicide. She had 3 sons and 3 DILs. I ended up being the one to go through her things. She had lived in the same house since 1959. What a difficult task you have ahead of you. It took me almost three months of hard work, but the little nuggets of her life I discovered along the way were worth the work and are things that my household considers our little "Nanny Treasures"

My dad was in the Navy for 29 years. He just passed away two days ago. I am looking at a house with lifetimes of memories, stuff I can't toss but don't need or have room for, a lot of crud and crap, and there's a bunch of stuff which is mine. We changed the locks so the grandkids don't do the grab and go thing, sad. Be careful what you leave behind, you'll have to move it again someday. BUt the old papers are kinda cool.

Sorry I'm in a strange mood! I just needed a little N4M to take a break with.
