OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Linda, our son is on a ship and we are experiencing the same situation right now. Are you in touch with his ombudsman? They can usually confirm if email is down or turned off. And I do suspect your sailor is very busy.

Has everyone read the Navy links section of NavyforMoms.com? I recently signed up with Navy.mil - The official Web site of the United States Navy and enjoy the information I receive or can find. Blessings, Betty

Angel that is for if you want to stop following a group or post that you are receiving notifications from. It is not from anyone, just part of the page, if I am thinking of the same thing you are seeing.

On the page that you choose your preferences, you can check boxes to be notified when you or someone else comments on your groups or when someone new joins the group, etc.

I have seen what you are asking about but can;\'t remember just where right now! lol!

Where did this come from? Below it says Stop Following-Don't email me when people comment. Who is this from? Is it directed to me? I hope I did not step on anyone's toes. I didn't mean to. Since I am new, I have checked with the Admins frequently before commenting to make sure I am within OPSEC and navyformoms guidelines.
