I haven't heard from my son today.  It probably means he is working those dreaded six hours on and six hours off shifts.  I sure hope my son took care of everything he needed to before he left.  On his last deployment I was in San Diego before the departure however this time I wasn't.  Sometimes it is so hard to stop being a Mom when they want to be grown up.

Hope all you Navy Mom's are doing well.  Keep up the communication.  It's comforting for all :-)

Hello Hunters Mom,

I think you are correct by assuming there are different departments.  My son's box is 26.

Hello Ladies....I've enjoyed reading all the posts and getting good information. This is my sons first deployment. In regard to the address....my son gave me all the same info that y'all have posted but he said it was box 24/25. Is this accurate? Are there different boxes for different departments? I want to make sure my care packages get to him! Any info is greatly appreciated! Jennifer

Good morning to everyone also.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I heard from my son and he said so far so good.  One big message was to have all his friend email him.

For the new mom's one of the first classes the ship will have will be on depression.  How to recognize it, deal with it and if one of their shipmates are showing signs.  My best advice to everyone is I know everyone is missing their loved ones however keep your conversations with them positive.  They miss us as much as we miss them however they have more to deal with.  Their world is completely different than what it was before they left.
