Hello again Paige's Mom.  I am glad you were able to connect with your daughter.  I am sure she will see things she never has.  She will also appreciate them.  You will also begin to see a huge "grown up" change in your daughter.  I know I started seeing huge changes during my son's first deployment. Now he is no longer a kid. He has developed into a responsible young man.

Thanks for the heads up on the mail.  I hope he gets the boxes I have sent to cheer him up.  He really needs it.  I have been in touch with a couple of his friends on the ship and they also are "fed" up.  This will pass.  I am glad they have each other to look after themselves.  I don't know if Tim knows Paige.  I will ask.  Have a great day!

Goobermom 3 just keep positive thoughts! Paige bought a cell phone and called me and did FaceTime last nite and again tonite to see those big beautiful blue eyes sent tears running down my face! Paige told me if I cry she won't call again, I told her they were tears of joy! She looked so good! She was having fun in port shopping sight seeing she talked about she never seen poverty in her life like she has seen she brought packs of gum to give to the kids. Its good she sees that it makes her know how truly blessed she's been and is!! Where there at is some of the worst poverty in the world! I hope your son gets to get off the ship Paige said there expecting mail on thurs she thinks everyone in my family sent her a box that's 8 large flat rate boxes I alone sent her three, she still haven't received the first one I sent her 8 weeks ago got have no idea where she is going to put everything my family came up with the coolest things they said it was so much fun! So Paige look out! Does your son know my daughter? Take care hugs to your son and hopefully he will get off that ship for a little r&r!

Hello Paige's mom,

Sorry I have not participated.  I will try to do better.  I am glad you are going to be able to see Paige.  that's Awesome.  I have talked to my son almost everyday via facebook.  Right now he is extremely frustrated.  He has only been able to get off   the ship for 4 hours when they were in Hawaii.  He has been able to get off t any other port.  I have not seen him so negative before. I try to encourage him however I don't think I was successful. I have sent two boxes to him however he has not received them yet.  Probably soon.  .  I hope your conversation was good with Paige.  I am sure you had a big smile :-)

Great Idea Adams Mom..... I didn't think of that!.  The last time they were in this third world country my son was brought to reality of what poor really is.  He told me he would never take for granted what he has especially seeing how people lived and how appreciative the children were when they were given the smallest things that don't mean anything to you and I.  Thanks for the update!

I sent a care package to paige over 3 weeks ago, priority mail, the mail drop was on sat or sun and her package was not in it. she said only about 2 people in her divison got mail. so at the end of the week im sending out her care package for thanksgiving, some of the things she asked for was powered gatarode, i guess everyone one the ship uses it. She wanted gum, tick tacs, fruit roll ups energy bars, gummy bears movies pens pencils high lighters, because shes taking classes, cheea its, wheat thins, tide pods, for washing clothes. i sent her her own pillow,,im making her rice crispy treats and brownies, i bought a sealing machine, (not cheap) she has a calling card she brought with her. i purchased her another one SO SHE CAN CALL HER MOTHER!! I two am constantly searching for unique ideas, i use the flat rate boxes, when i can, the last box i sent her was in a regular box because there was so many items, and it cost me 55.00 more for the postage than the contents, that figures,  great idea onthe newspaper clippings,
