HI mdubtxmom!!  Good to see you --- we were in the PIR 2/11/11 group together.  We use Skype and I've never had great luck ... always seems to freeze up and skip ... but we'll see how it goes once my daughter gets her laptop.   I just sent her cell phone to her today (she'll have it tomorrow) ...

Jaime's in indoc as well --- called today and said that it's a self-paced school so she could actually be out in 2 weeks if she buckles down!  Said there was another kid recently who got through it in 5 days.  Also said that a whole group of them just got shipped to Italy and Japan ... she's hoping she might have a chance to do that.

Hello everyone.  Thanks Cheryllynn for telling me about this group.  My son is at Meridian MS in A school.  He is actually in indoc right now and is waiting for his classes to start.  He is so happy to be there instead of boot camp.  He should have received his phone and computer today so hopefully we will be in regular communication now.  We signed him up for skype and hope that we will be able to have video chats with him.  Anyone else on here use skype?

Welcome TN and yes they can!!!!!!!!!   Oh, maybe you think that as bad news if you'd rather keep her in the states????  My son is a PS.  Graduated from Meridian on 12/10/10.  He is now stationed on Diego Gargia, an island in the Indian Ocean!!  Loves it.  He will be there for a year.

Hello everyone :)  I'm new to this group and so grateful its here! My daughter was told she will be a Personnel specialist today and ships out for boot camp on 3/9/11.  Can anyone tell me if she can be stationed in other parts fo the world when she completes A school or just the US? Anything you all can share would be so welcome. Thanks!
