shelley, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your name and email address (you probably made the chage some time ago); you also need to change the URL to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.) Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.
It's not a good idea to post a pic of your Sailor every time you post, so also make change 4. To increase PERSEC, don't include ANYONE in your profile picture.
There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with your Sailor.
Check Priceline also. I was able to choose a hotel in Waukegan instead of Chicago and it lowered the total cost for two to under $750. It will cost more if only one person goes, like $500 instead of $300. Go figure. Good luck

Thank you so much for the information on the train out of Ft. Worth. When I get home from work I will look into it. If we fly we fly from DFW.. Might as well take a train from Ft. Worth.
I am praying for all our recruits, I know its hard on them. Mine is a later starter, he is 24, but this is different from anything he has known.
Hi, my son is Eric. What is your son's name? I have only received one letter so far, he wrote it Christmas Eve. Seems to be doing well, beyond homesick. No phone calls yet, though I don't know if his dad has received more than the "made it safe" call. Apparently he listed his dad as his contact. They sent me the address but forgot the grad pak information. I am waiting for a copy. They did give the date and all.
Have you made your reservations yet? We don'lt know if we should now or wait til mid Jan. What if they get sick or for some other reason miss their grad date?
Hope all moms are well. and that we all get a call soon.
