Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

He's Nuke, so he has 2 more schools to go thru, probably both in SC. He graduated from Leander HS. He's coming home for 8 days, yay! Even tho I know I won't see him much, it will be good to know he's near. When does yours grad.?

When does your Sailor leave for BC?  My Sailor leaves Feb. 16th.  He is really excited, and we both are excited for this journey and Chapter in our lives :)

welcome g's mom  where to start.. its been an experience.. dep since 10/15 and went to boot camp on 12/14.. we're lucky i guess down south from great lakes, lockport,illinois.got my first letter , short but sweet. .. know how busy they are.. into week 3 already.. he's PIR ing on 12/11/11... at 22 he's my oldest son, have a 19 year old home from college for another 2 weeks..  from his letter its tough but its good he likes it.. gotta give credit to the guys who have to train them. they have their hands full, lol..
