Oh, how wonderful Melinda!  It is so exciting.  I last saw my son in March.  Hoping to see him again around the holidays.

My daughter is in Oak Harbor, Washington, to far away from home.  She's been there since June 2012.  I'm going out to see her in September and can't wait.

My son has been in TX for Corpsman A school, but he realized medical was not for him. They put him in holding a few weeks and was just told the other day he will be going to Meridian for PS school. Do they usually have many options when they fill out their dream sheet?

Sorry I haven't been on.  I started back to school and things are always quite busy.  My son is a PS.  Went to Meridian a couple of year ago.  It is very laid back and there isn't much to do there.

Hello, and thank you for being here!  My son is still at GL in his fifth week of BC, but was reclassified as a PS just last week.  He has some colorblindness which kept him from the two other classifications he was qualified for: Nuclear and Aviation Electronics.  So, here we are!  His PIR is June 1.  Ship 11 Div. 168.  :)

My daughter is also PS and will be E3.  She is leaving for BC on December 17th and then on to Meridian MS.  So, any insider information would be great :)

My daughter is in boot camp now and will be going to Meridian for PS school also.  She is also an E3. I would like to see the answers to your questions as well Future Sailor PSSN Flydown.  Good Luck to you.

Future Sailor checking in. Leaving for boot april 18, and then to meridian for PS school. I have just a few questions...

What is PS school like, i know its self paced.

For those who have been PS for a while, what is the daily job/life like? I am going in as a E3 cause i have a degree.

I have heard many things about ranking up out of A school. is that possible?

As far as the "wish list" goes, how likely is it to actually go where you want to?
