Happy 4th to all! Here's my question: How long does it usually take for them to complete A school in Meridian? I read here except for the PS Finance courses, it is online and self taught?

It's been a a while since I;ve been here but I thought I'd drop in and update everyone. My daughter, Ashley, is in Meridian and about 2/3 finished with the classes. She got her verbal orders and she ill be going to Yokosuka, Japan!! That was her second choice so she is pretty happy. She is supposed to be able to come home for a few weeks, but we'll know more towards the middle of next week, we know she's coming home, just not sure for how long.  Graduation was an AMAZING experience! I'll never forget it! It's almost bitter sweet afterwards, but we are SO proud of Ashley@ she has never been further than Florida for a visit with my brother, and now she's headed off to Japan... who woulda thunk it? LOL

Thanks!    He is getting pretty tired of sweepin and swabbin.  Maybe he won't be there much longer.  He got news today that they are applying for a waiver so he can continue on with his orders.  I am anxious for that to happen because it means he will get almost 3 weeks of leave.

Yeah, I am sure...my son got held up in Norfolk and he got sick of doing all the 'dirty' work.  But he did it.  And Meridian doesn't have much there otherwise...ugh...

My son graduated with honors on March 25 from PS school.  He has orders to Yokosuka Japan but they are on hold because of the disaster.  Not sure if they will give him new orders or make him wait it out but for now he is in TPU in Meridian.  Says he is doing a lot of sweepin and swabbin. LOL  I would LOVE to have a picture of that!
