Two welcome homes at the local airport; A special Honor Flight welcome home; Escorting a young man home from the airport with motorcycles and "cages" (cars). You don't need a motorcycle, just a sense of patriotism and respect for those who serve our country.

Cheryl, I'd love it if you became a winter Texan! I'm already looking forward to being here next winter. We have a park model in an RV park in Donna, Texas, not far from McAllen. I'm sending you a private message with more info.

Just checking in--I'm a winter Texan till the firt of April. It took us awhile, but we finally made contact with the Rio Grande Valley PGR--just like home, a great bunch of people!

The missions never stop, though I can report all the recent ones have been fun. Our local PGR was at the airport from Dec. 13 through Christmas Eve to welcome home the troops. We have at least one send off tomorrow and many next week.

Cheryl, I obviously haven't been following for awhile! Yes, my son is an instructor at GL. Hopefully, he'll do a mission tomorrow.

My son did a mission this afternoon in Grayslake, IL, for a Marine. He got permission to go from his command.

Jean, where did this come from? What state protested? The PGR is to be a silent shield between family and whoever protests. "They" have appeared in our area maybe twice, but I never witnessed it. "They" have treatened to come many times, but our PGR has the potential of being a huge presence. Recently for a funeral, we had members from four states show up. "They" don't want to face that even though no one speaks.

awwww. Thanks, Ordy and all! I have to tell you--my sailor son is home this weekend and rode his bike in his first mission last night at midnight. We had a new Marine coming in from boot camp and the PGR was at the airport. So many showed up, they ran out of flags for the flag line in the airport terminal! Isn't that cool!
