Hey there! Just a place for family of SRs in Ship 09 (USS John F Kennedy) Division 146 to get together and chat, ask questions, and discuss whatever. :)  I'm new to this, so anyone who has a heads up on anything regarding the ribbons (LaLa Ribbon Queen I believe is who we need to contact) and stuff like Sarge's Meet-and-greet, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

Curious about WHERE exactly at RTC your recruits barracks are? Check out this diagram of the RTC.

Hi sharon how do i go about friending you lol not sure if i spelled that right. I would love to know if my son was mentioned by your husband

Congratulations!!!! I am so concerned about this division and am praying for them since my son has expressed some of the same comments. I sure hope those who don`t get, get it before Battle Stations..

My son in not in 146, he is in 144, but his best friend is... he mentioned the same thing about them not working well together.  I really do hope they can get it together.

My hubs seems to repeat it in every letter how they just can't seem to get everyone to work together, and that he's worried about how they're going to make it through BS21 with the lack of teamwork. There was talk about pulling some of the guys out that just "dont seem to get it", but then he's worried about having the # needed to do everything in BS21. :-/ Keep praying somethin clicks and the oddballs fall into sync, or that they get pulled so the rest can focus. It's a shame all the trouble they've had with lack of teamwork. I understand its difficult to get that many people to all think like a single unit, but it's cost them some flags (aka bragging rights.)

I agree with all your concerns. i just pray and hope that they will come together. hope they can do the bs21 as a teamwork. my son is so not happy of how they are not working together and how hard it is with their group. as you can see on their photo on the RTC facebook page, i can tell by his mean look. lol.

I cant believe  almost 2 months ago was the harder day of my short life lol.

Since I meet my husband we never spend more than 12 hr apart so all this Navy BC was and is a BIG DEAL for me. I remember  march 13, when he told me 'Babe is going to be ok I will be back soon'. I was kinda mad, sad, and proud at the same time I think most of you will understand my feeling. I REALLY HOPE LOL.  And today is almost over I cant believe it. Im happy and so proud of Him.

Joann, when boot camp is over, your husband will be proud of you, too, for what you have grown through and gone through.  Keep supporting each other in your individual and joint endeavors, and you will be fine. Good job so far!!

Aww Thank You!

I saw my son in the photos!  I can only see part of his face, but still it was great, and I see that he got Navy-issue glasses.  He is sort of tall, so I figured maybe he was hidden toward the back, and sure enough he is. I got another letter from him today also:  he said they worked on shooting, and he qualified as an expert marksman.  He said he was looking forward to firefighting, which he thinks is next week, and he also said they had their pictures taken in their dress blues.  He said that he misses everyone, and misses his hair!  LOL!  Not sure which he misses more, ha ha!
