Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Someone told me it would be an 847 area code! But I didn't miss any calls today so as long as the whole div gets their calls same day you should be okay. After I get my call I will be sure to post ASAP! So just in case everyone will be ready!

That's the strange part is everyone keeps saying 847 but the I'm here call was from a 774 area code. I am just going to try and quit thinking about it.

I just go My Phone Call also...I'm very emotional right now (and so is he..broke down when he heard my voice). But heads up it was a 402 area code....So just answer ALL CALLS!!! <3

Yes he got choked up the minute i said hello. mine was an 847 so it be prepared to answer from anywhere ladies!

I got my call too... Sounded great except for a cold... My number came from an 847 area code... Keep your phones near :)

We got letters today but no call yet. He did say in one letter that almost everyone has come down with a heavy cough. hopefully that will pass soon!

Annette~ My I'm here phone call came from his cell phone... I also sent him with a phone card and was wondering what the number would come up with but got the 847 area code... I didn't even think to ask him if he was using the phone card... It makes it hard the not knowing what to look for... My daughter who is in college about 3 hrs away got a message from me saying I got a call and she was worried cause she was in class and missed a call from someone in Washington... It wasn't him!!!

I don't think it would be from the cell phones because they put my husbands in his box and sent them home. I asked the recruiter and he told me all cell phones would be sent home or donated if brought to boot camp. Got my call! It was wonderful, 847 area code. It was really emotional, hard to stay strong. We miss him terribly at home. So glad to hear he's doing well. Said he would call in 2 weeks. :) Hope everyone enjoyed their calls too!!

Just received another letter today! He sounded much more positive and said things are getting a little easier. But boy is he HOMESICK!! He said they can receive letters every day but can only write once a week. He also said that the letters are very comforting so KEEP EM COMING!! :)
