It is crazy to believe that 5 months ago we were preparing for PIR, to watch our Sailors graduate from BC!!  What a great day!!  How is everyone doing?  It is has been an awesome ride so far ~ we are very proud of our girl, with top notch achievements in A & C Schools.  We started our newest journey with our IS this past Friday, sending her off on her next adventure. The unknown is torture, but that's part of the job, so I will take it!!  Hope all is well ~ looking forward to hearing from everyone.

I agree that time has flown ... it's kinda strange how each phase you wonder if any of the sailors that graduated from BC are with your sailor now. And, I often think of those that I have been in touch with up through 'C' School. Because we are all so busy with our own lives, it is so hard to keep in touch. My son moved to his next journey in October ... but it was absolutely wonderful to spend a little time with him before he had to report to his new command. It is also great that we have the technology today to keep in touch by phone, email or text.

Haven't been on in a long time.   Time sure has down by fast.   I don't think my son is stationed with anyone from boot but he is with some from A school.  In fact we just went this past Sept to visit with one of his roommates from A school.  He and his wife had a baby and our son is the godfather.   We have become "adoptive" parents and now grandparents.  Our son is stationed in CA.  It's a nice place to visit.  It's been tuff at times with him on the other side of the country but every visit,  phone call, email, text,  etc. is just that much more special.   We have met some awesome people thru him and have added on to the family so to say.   It has truly been an interesting ride.

Hi Yvette... my son left out right after stand down.  He will be back in CA in a couple of weeks. His ship is not able to go out on a deployment yet so we have been lucky in that aspect.  In fact this is the longest he had been out so far.  Hopefully you will be able to have some contact with him while he's out.
